About hospital jobs
 There is an assessment package, the trainees logbook, that should be used throughout the hospital jobs. The logbook contains a core curriculum which is used by the SHO to define their learning needs and grade how well these have been met. There is a formal assessment sheet for Consultants to fill in to allow discussion of the SHO's professional development to help them at the end of the job.
There will be three hours of protected time available as part of the working week for teaching in the speciality (see appendix North East London Deanery Policy Statement). Every effort will be made to ensure attendance of the half-day release.
